Meet Ulfat Shafiq, DMD

Dr. Ulfat Shafiq is a Brighton, NY native who spent her formative years growing up in our community. Dr. Shafiq attended Nazareth College, earning a B.S. in Biology before heading to Tufts University School of Dental Medicine to complete her doctorate in Dental Medicine. She completed her residency in 2018 at Rochester Regional Hospital.

Upon completion of her doctorate, Dr. Shafiq returned to Western NY and began practicing as a general dentist in Henrietta, NY. In addition to her expertise in general dentistry, Dr. Shafiq specializes in restorative dentistry, cosmetic dentistry as well as emergency dental services. She is an active member of the American Dental Association (ADA), the New York State Dental Association (NYSDA) and the Seventh District Dental Society.

Dr.Shafiq has two children whom are ages two and four. She is also the youngest of six children and has nine nieces and nephews whom she loves spending time with. In her spare time, Dr. Shafiq enjoys playing sports, hiking and watching soccer. She is also an avid gamer and loves cooking. When not in the office, she may be found traveling the world or spending time with her husband and her two children, enjoying all that Rochester has to offer.

With honesty, genuineness, and individualized care serving as her guiding principles, Dr. Shafiq is excited to be in her hometown Brighton to practice dentistry—a place that helped shape who she is today.
